Your local female boxing coach here - and I coach boxing exclusively to women! My name is Katrina and I focus on boxing fundamentals to ensure all you boss ladies know how to box with proper technique all while getting a good workout in. But above that - my aim is to help my fighters build self-mastery in all areas of their life with the same principles used in boxing training.

Although I have been in and out of various types of combat sports in my youth, it wasn’t until 2014 when I picked up boxing at the very first Self Made Training Facility location and have trained consistently ever since.

After a few years, I took my boxing to the next level by competing on an amateur level. In the fight is where I put my skills to the real test. But my most significant accomplishment is not how many fights I’ve won, nor how much my boxing technique has improved - but mastering the ability to stay calm through chaos.

Through boxing, I have developed a resilient mindset to keep moving forward toward any goal I have set for myself and truly live life how it should be lived. For this reason I became a boxing coach. Not only is boxing physically demanding, but requires strong mental fortitude and control of emotions in order to be a formidable fighter - which I hope all my fighters strengthen through their boxing journey with me.

As a female in a male-dominated sport, I’ve also embraced the idea of the paradox - an “I can be both” type of ethos. Although boxing is an aggressive sport, I’m still very much in tune with my soft, feminine side. My vision as a boxing coach is to cultivate a superior breed of women who can carry themselves with kindness, but also have the ability to be relentless in pursuit of any dream. A happy fighter is a dangerous fighter.
