A great man once said, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. Nothing worthwhile is easy. Your ability to overcome unfavorable situations will provide you with time to demonstrate your true strength and determination for success.” That mindset has guided my life from the very beginning.

Growing up, I experienced plenty of ups and downs, but I was always taught to give my best no matter the circumstances. Martial arts became the foundation of my discipline and character. As a kid who never quite fit in, I found myself in trouble more than once—until my parents introduced me to my first martial arts instructor. Through structure, accountability, and discipline, I learned confidence, self-control, and how to channel my energy toward something greater. Those lessons still drive me today.

As a youth athlete, I competed at the highest levels across multiple sports. I became a two-time State Champion and Junior Olympic runner-up in Taekwondo, a two-time Regional Champion and State qualifier in wrestling, and a State Champion and Junior Olympic qualifier in track and field. Those accomplishments taught me how to train with intention, handle pressure, and separate myself from the average mindset.

In high school, my size and athleticism led many to assume football was my future, even though I hadn’t touched the field until later. By my senior year at Kaiser High School in Fontana, I served as a defensive captain on a team that allowed just 6.5 points per game—the best in the state—and helped lead us to a CIF Championship and state title. That performance earned me a full-ride scholarship to Fresno State, followed by being drafted into the NFL in 2008. I played professional football for five years, fulfilling a goal that was placed on me long before I ever put on pads.

After my NFL career, I returned to my roots in martial arts and wrestling, drawn to the one-on-one battle and the pursuit of mastery. Today, I train and compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at a professional level, earning multiple IBJJF Pan American and World Championship titles in a short period of time.

All of these experiences shape how I approach personal training in the Temecula Valley. I don’t just write workouts. I coach mindset, discipline, and accountability. I specialize in elite performance and sport-specific training for driven athletes, as well as high-performing adults and parents who want more than average results. When you or your child trains with me, you learn what it truly means to train at an elite level, physically and mentally, and gain a real competitive edge that carries far beyond the gym.
